A Painted Sky (A letter to The Rainbow who makes me smile)

My heart leaps up when I behold…A rainbow in the sky…
~~William Wordsworth

The quote above is partly an excuse for not knowing how to better start this letter, but I mean it.  An aspect of my life has been a roller coaster lately and you know why. You were one of the first people to know  the reasons. You’ve witnessed how gloomy those days were, until you came and painted the sky again.

Dear Rainbow, thank you for the colors; for painting the gloomy sky without us knowing it. I missed how you did it, how it started and when. It just came to me all of a sudden. One day I woke up and realized the beautiful sky is back.

Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for the wasting-time. Thank you for making me feel at ease. Thank you for sharing bits of your life stories with me. Thank you for the friendship.

Thank you for making me happy.

I will always remember last week and cherish the little talks, smiles, hopes and plans that we’ve shared. Those moments made me feel like I’m on top of a rainbow, appreciating life once again. I would have wanted to stay there, on top, and enjoy the comfort you bring, but I can’t for long. I can’t because I promised that I’m moving and healing on my own.

It was a great week! I didn’t want it to end just that honestly, but it had to, and we have to keep moving. Last week might never happen again, but I want you to know that it was wonderful and inspiring, and it keeps me moving. 🙂

God bless you always. I want you to know that I’m glad that you’re around, and yeah, you are the Rainbow who makes me smile.

Take care! See you when I see you…and maybe see you on top of the rainbow again someday, when everything’s okay and in Daddy God’s time. 🙂

Cheers,
